What is a service administrator account?

A service administrator account is designed for users who are responsible for managing one or more Services offered on the platform. A Service represents an educational offering (such as a category of courses or on-request services) that customers can apply for. The Service admin oversees everything related to the services they administer, including applications, courses, course instances, and the scheduling of professionals for those services.

Dashboard

The Dashboard is your main landing page as a Service administrator. For this role the page is intentionally minimal: both dashboard blocks are always empty.

Accessing the Dashboard

To access the Dashboard, click “Dashboard” in the main navigation menu.

Dashboard Features

Today’s Schedule

Always shows “No events for today”.

Upcoming Events

Always shows “No upcoming events”.

The Service administrator role is a pure system role and cannot be combined with participating roles such as Attendee, Mentor, or Professional. Since only those participating roles have events shown on the dashboard, your Today’s Schedule and Upcoming Events blocks remain empty.

Calendar

As a Service administrator, the Calendar shows scheduled events for services assigned to you. You can filter the schedule, create and update on-request events, manage course instance events through linked tools, and open event details within that scope.

Accessing the Calendar

Click Calendar in the main navigation menu.

Calendar layout

Control	Description
Day / Week / Month / Year / List	Change how time is displayed (week is the default).
Previous / Next	Move to another period.
Today	Return to the current date range.
Date range (title)	Click to open a date picker and jump to a specific date.
Show weekends	Show or hide Saturday and Sunday in week/day views.

Event types on the grid

Appearance	Meaning
Default color	On-request application events under your services
Teal	Course instance events for courses in your services
Red	Canceled events (labeled on the block)

Click an event to open Event details in the right sidebar.

Courses

The Courses area is where Service administrators create and maintain the course catalogue for the scheduled services they administer: course definitions, documents, course instances, and session schedules. Customers and applicants browse published instances from Available courses; you prepare everything here before it goes live.

Courses appears under SYSTEM in the sidebar only when you administer at least one scheduled service. If you only administer on-request services, this menu item is hidden. You only see and manage courses linked to your services.

What are courses?

A course is a scheduled educational offering tied to one scheduled service and one subject. Customers buy seats on course instances (a specific run of the course with its own code, dates, language, professional, and price).

The Services page lists every service for which you are assigned as a Service administrator. From here you can review the full service profile, update the parts of a service that service administrators are allowed to change, and (for on-request services) open the documents associated with the service.

Access

You only see services where you have been added as a service administrator. New services are created by System administrators, who also assign the service administrators and choose the delivery types, subject categories and organization owner.

To open the page, click Services in the SYSTEM section of the main navigation menu.

Attendance

The Attendance area lets Service administrators view and manage attendance for scheduled services you administer: mark session attendance, review per-course attendee progress, change course completion status on ongoing courses, and run reports. Data is limited to courses under your services.

Only courses with Attendance tracking enabled have sessions and data here. Applications and instances without tracking do not appear.

Attendance appears under SUPPLIERS in the sidebar (this is the only item in that section for Service administrator accounts). You see attendance for all course instances and sessions on your services where tracking is enabled.

Enable or disable tracking when you create or edit a course under Courses (Attendance tracking enabled).

Follow ups

The Follow ups page lists discussion threads linked to applications on services you administer. Use it to open follow-up conversations with Customer administrators, Mentors, and Professionals about progress on on-request, scheduled, or ongoing applications.

As a Service administrator, you can create follow ups on applications within your services, view follow ups others created on those same applications, and manage threads you created. You can also comment, pin comments, and mark comments as seen.

Notifications

This page describes email and in-app (system) notifications for users with the Service admin role — what they receive, and who is notified when they take action.

Column	Meaning
Email	Notification to email (`Yes`, `No`, or `Mixed` when receivers differ)
System notification	In-app notification center (`Yes`, `No`, or `Mixed`)
Receivers	Who is notified when the service administrator performs the action (sent sections only)
Notes	What the notification or action is about

You are usually not notified for your own action. Calendar cancellations skip the user who cancelled. Anonymized users are skipped where applicable.
