Calendar
As an Applicant, you create and manage applications on behalf of customer accounts—you do not use the calendar to follow events as a learner.
The Applicant role can only be combined with Mentor on the same account. If you have Applicant only, the calendar is usually empty. If you are also a Mentor, you see events for applications and course instances you mentor; see If you also have the Mentor role below.
Accessing the Calendar
Click Calendar in the main navigation menu.

Event types on the grid

| Appearance | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Default color | On-request application events |
| Teal | Course instance events |
| Red | Canceled events (labeled on the block) |
Click an event to open Event details.
Which events you see (Applicant only)
With Applicant alone:
- The calendar does not list events for applications you submit or manage for a customer.
- You cannot be marked as a participating attendee, so no events appear through participation.
If you need a schedule on the calendar, you must also hold the Mentor role (see below) or use another account type that is allowed to attend events.
Filters
With Applicant only, the filter panel is not shown (and there are usually no events to filter).
Event details
Not applicable when the calendar is empty. When you have the Mentor role as well, see If you also have the Mentor role.
Actions you can take
With Applicant only, there is nothing to open on the calendar.
Actions you cannot take
As an applicant you cannot create, edit, cancel, or delete calendar events. Scheduling is done by service administrators and professionals.
If you also have the Mentor role
Mentor is the only role that can be held together with Applicant on one account. The calendar then shows only what your Mentor assignment provides:
- Events on on-request applications where you are a mentor
- Events on course instances where you mentor an approved course application
Your work as an Applicant on other applications does not add events to the calendar.
SHOW FILTERS becomes available. You can filter by subject, subject area, professional, service, language, and type of application (On request and Scheduled only—no Ongoing option in the filter list). Filter values come only from events you can already see.
The calendar is view-only: you can open Event details and OPEN CLASSROOM, but you cannot create, edit, cancel, or delete events from the calendar.
For full detail on mentor calendar behavior, see the Mentor — Calendar page.
